More exciting arrivals at Blue Diamond Stud

The Iffraaj - Lady Nouf colt

Iffraaj – Lady Nouf colt

An Iffraaj colt out of the talented Lady Nouf is among the latest arrivals at Blue Diamond Stud.

Nine of our mares have foaled so far, among them Princess Margaret Stakes heroine Princess Noor, whose first foal is a striking filly by New Approach, and Sayif’s dam Sewards Folly, who foaled a smart filly from the first crop of Kingman.

The Lady Nouf colt is the second foal out of his dam, who was trained by William Haggas to run second to subsequent Oaks heroine Talent in the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket. By Teofilo, the multiple stakes-placed Lady Nouf is a daughter of Blue Diamond’s foundation mare Majestic Sakeena and therefore a half-sister to Listed winner Nouriya (dam of exciting three-year-old Aljazzi) and the Group 1-placed Yuften.

Lady Nouf, who has a yearling colt by Oasis Dream, visits Declaration Of War in 2016.

Declaration Of War is also the sire of a smart filly out of Queen Sarra. Born on February 5, the filly is the first foal out of her dam, a daughter of Shamardal who is the only foal out of the dual Noblesse Stakes winner Grace O’Malley.

Queen Sarra now goes to Kodiac.

On Friday, Blue Diamond stalwart Epiphany produced her ninth foal for the stud in a filly by Exceed And Excel.

Epiphany, a Zafonic mare from the immediate family of Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Indian Haven, has been a grand servant for Blue Diamond as the dam of four winners, including the highly-rated Agerzam and Idder.

Her three-year-old colt Blue Revelation, another by Exceed And Excel, also showed ability last year when placed behind Herald The Dawn on his only start at Naas for Johnny Murtagh.

Epiphany, who also has a yearling filly by Bated Breath, now visits our own stallion Sayif.

Meanwhile, the stud welcomed its first Sayif foal of the season when Acclamare foaled an attractive colt on February 15.

The colt is the first foal out of Acclamare, an Acclamation half-sister to Listed winner Bold Thady Quill from the further family of blue hen Hasili.
