Bright future for regally-bred Decorated Knight
Stud homebred Decorated Knight has a bright future judged on his debut run at Doncaster, in which he ran on strongly to take second in a 17-runner maiden behind Commemorative.
“Entered in the Royal Lodge, Dewhurst and Racing Post Trophy, a maiden will surely be a formality judged on this,” commented the Racing Post in their race analysis.
By Galileo, Decorated Knight is the first foal out of Pearling, a sister to Giant’s Causeway and You’resothrilling, the dam of Marvellous and Gleneagles.
Pearling (pictured right), a 1.3 million guineas purchase by Tony Nerses while carrying Decorated Knight, has a 2013 colt by Dubawi and a 2014 filly by Frankel.
Meanwhile, another homebred, Justineo, gained another black-type placing when third in the Garrowby Stakes at York on 7 September.
