Easy maiden win for homebred Zari
Zari stepped up on her promising debut effort when running out easy winner of a 7f maiden at Kempton. The daughter of Azamour, trained by Roger Varian, ran second over the same course and distance last month and made no mistake on this occasion to win in good style under Ryan Moore by 2 lengths.
Zari was bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar out of the winning Epiphany, a 160,000gns yearling purchase by Zafonic, and is a half-sister to three winners including the 90-rated Agerzam.
Epiphany has a yearling colt by Exceed And Excel and is in foal to Bated Breath.
