Faddwa wins under Hayley at Wolverhampton
Another day, another winner. Just 24 hours after Hayley Turner had steered Talawat to victory at Wolverhampton, she repeated the trick aboard debutant Faddwa in the 1m 1/2f maiden on Wednesday.
The daughter of Arcano overcame greenness to score under hands and heels by half-a-length from Diamond Ridge. The pair pulled four lengths clear of the third.
“She´s a lovely filly,” Hayley Turner told the Racing Post. “I gave Faddwa a flick and she ran a bit green, so I put my whip back down and she straightened up and did it really nicely.”
Trained by Roger Varian, Faddwa was bought for €30,000 by Tony Nerses at the 2013 Goffs Orby Sale. She was bred by Stephanie Hanley out of the Royal Applause mare Heart’s Desire and is a half-sister to Listed winner Heart Of Fire and the Listed-placed Unsinkable.
