Fine run of form continues with Talawat
Talawat continued our fine run of form on Tuesday when running out the easy winner of the fillies’ maiden at Wolverhampton under Hayley Turner.
It was only the second start for the daughter of Cape Cross, who is trained by Marco Botti.
“Talawat was drawn wide, but her experience helped her out and she kept galloping to the line,” Hayley Turner told the Racing Post.
Always prominent, Talawat took the up the running two furlongs out and ran on to score by two lengths.
Talawat boasts a very current pedigree as the first foal of Queen Of Mean, a winning Pivotal half-sister to sire-of-the-moment Zoffany. She was bought by Tony Nerses for 260,000gns at Book 1 of the 2013 Tattersalls October Sale.
