Gulliver back to winning ways
Gulliver put his best forward at Wolverhampton on Saturday to get back to winning ways in the 6f handicap.
Always well regarded by Hugo Palmer, the Sayif gelding won a York maiden at two last season and has run creditably on several occasions this year, notably when second last time out to Ice Lord at Ascot.
Partnered by Jack Mitchell this time around, Gulliver made good headway a furlong out and put his turn of foot to good use to run down the leader and score by a neck despite drifting left.
Gulliver is from the first crop of our stallion Sayif, who stands at Llety Farms, and was bred by Alun Douch out of Sweet Coincidence, also the dam of 1,000 Guineas runner-up Lightning Thunder and Sagaro Stakes winner Sweet Selection.
Gulliver was purchased by Tony Nerses for 50,000gns as a yearling.
