Hollie Doyle to ride as retained jockey for Imad Al Sagar

IMAD AL SAGAR, owner of Blue Diamond Stud, is delighted to announce the appointment of Hollie Doyle as his retained jockey.

Al Sagar has enjoyed many big-race successes, notably as the co-owner of Decorated Knight, Authorized, Araafa and Aljazzi, and is looking forward to forging a partnership with the record-breaking Doyle, one of the rising stars of the weighing room who has partnered almost 75 winners already this year.

“We are thrilled to add Hollie Doyle to our team,” said Imad Al Sagar. “We have all been impressed with how Hollie has risen to become one of the best of her profession. She is an extremely dedicated, strong and astute jockey.

“We have some lovely horses to run for us this season and I look forward to Hollie becoming an invaluable member of our team.”

Hollie Doyle said: “I am delighted to be teaming up with Imad Al Sagar for the near future. I hope that we will have plenty of success!”

Imad Al Sagar has campaigned the winners of over 40 stakes races. Major highlights include Classic colts Authorized, whose championship career included a win in the 2007 Derby, and Araafa, winner of the Irish 2,000 Guineas, in addition to homebred multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight, Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya and Royal Ascot Group 2 winner Aljazzi.

Blue Diamond Stud, based near Newmarket, is home to 45 mares including Pearling, the dam of Decorated Knight, and Nouriya, the dam of Aljazzi. There are approximately 30 horses in training.

Blue Diamond Stud also stands Decorated Knight at the Irish National Stud.
