Homebred Aaliya scores at Lingfield
Homebred Aaliya followed up the promise of her debut with a tenacious victory in the 5f novice at Lingfield on Saturday for Amy Murphy.
Quick out of the stalls, Aaliya made all up the stands rail under Tom Marquand to win by a length and a quarter from Dream For Life, who came out best of a group on the other side of the track.
It was only Aaliya’s second start, so there should be plenty more to come.
The daughter of Invincible Spirit becomes the first winner out of Rappel, a winning Royal Applause half-sister to the Listed-placed March On Beetroot. They are out of the Group 3-placed Parisian Elegance, a half-sister to the high-class sprinter Majestic Missile, also by Royal Applause.
