Homebred Fol O’Yasmine strikes at Yarmouth
Homebred Fol O’Yasmine gained a deserved success on Wednesday for William Haggas when the easy winner of the mile handicap at Yarmouth.
The daughter of Dubawi raced prominently in the hands of Andrea Atzeni before making her challenge a furlong out to assert and go clear. At the line, she had a length and a quarter to spare over Party Thyme.
“Fol O’Yasmine had run some decent races in defeat before now and it´s important for the these fillies to get a win,” Andrea Atzeni told the Racing Post. “She picked up well and liked the ground.”
Fol O’Yasmine is out of Sewards Folly and therefore a half-sister to our Diadem Stakes winner and Middle Park Stakes runner-up Sayif. Now at standing for us at Llety Farms, Sayif has made a pleasing start to his stud career with two winners to date from his first crop of two-year-olds.
Sewards Folly is also the dam of Cornwallis Stakes winner Hunter Street, now at stud in Italy. The daughter of Rudimentary has a two-year-old colt by Sepoy called Prazeres also with William Haggas and a filly foal by Kingman. She visited Bated Breath this season.
