Homebred Riviera Nights romps to victory
Promising two-year-old Riviera Nights had little trouble getting off the mark on Monday at Brighton.
Previously placed at Leicester and Newmarket, Riviera Nights made all the running under Silvestre de Sousa and only had to be ridden out hands and heels to win easily by three lengths.
From the first crop of Kingman, homebred Riviera Nights is the third foal and second winner out of Turama after the Frankel colt Zefferino. Turama, purchased by Tony Nerses as a yearling, is a Pivotal half-sister to the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes heroine Spinning Queen and last year’s Listed scorer Natavia and a granddaughter of blue hen Lady Blackfoot.
Turama has a filly foal by Invincible Spirit and was one of a number of mares that we sent to our multiple Group 1 winner Decorated Knight this season.
