Homebred Shamardal colt sells to Shadwell for 220,000gns
A successful Tattersalls October Sale in Newmarket concluded last night for Blue Diamond Stud with the 220,000gns sale of a homebred Shamardal colt to Shadwell Estates. He is out of Princess Danah, a Danehill relation to Singspiel and Rahy.
Only moments earlier, Angus Gold had outbid Tony Nerses at 525,000gns for a Poet’s Voice half-brother to Patentar.
However, Nerses still secured four lots during Book 2 for Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar; a Kyllachy colt x Regency Rose bought for 220,000gns, a Mastercraftsman filly x Sunny Slope filly bought for 60,000gns, a Kodiac colt x Apple Dumpling bought for 55,000gns and a Kodiac filly x Lady Avenger filly for 40,000gns.
On the other side of the fence, Blue Diamond enjoyed several good results as a vendor. The stud broke new territory by offering a draft of yearlings, and asides from the Shamardal colt, were rewarded when selling a Dream Ahead colt out of Shyrl for 100,000gns to John Warren and a Lope De Vega colt out of Keep Dancing for 95,000gns to Rabbah Bloodstock.
We wish the best of luck to all buyers.
