Igider shoulders top weight to victory at Doncaster
Top weight of 9st 7lb failed to prevent Igider from turning in a highly impressive performance to win at Doncaster on Saturday.
The four-year-old son of Teofilo stayed on strongly under Graham Lee to score in the 1m4f handicap by five lengths from Arizona John.
“Igider is a fine big specimen and there´s a lot more to come from him on flat tracks like this,” Graham Lee told the Racing Post.
Bought for 180,000gns by Tony Nerses out of the Camas Park Stud draft at the Tattersalls October Sale, Igider has now won two of five starts for Roger Varian. He was bred by M Morrissey out of the Listed-placed Dansili mare Changeable.
