Jassur scores at Chelmsford by 7 lengths
Under a positive ride from Oisin Murphy, Jassur ran out the seven-length winner of the 1m2f nursery at Chelmsford on Thursday.
Jassur took command 3f out and drew clear to break his maiden in impressive style.
Trained by Marco Botti, the son of Canford Cliffs was bought by Tony Nerses at last year’s DBS Premier Sale. He is a half-brother to four winners including American Grade 2 scorer Juniper Pass and out of Child Bride, a Coronado’s Quest daughter of Grade 2 winner Chapel Of Dreams. It is the further family of Storm Cat.
“Jassur was crying out for the step up in trip and clearly stays well,” Marco Botti told the Racing Post. “If there is a race before his rating changes we have got to take a chance because I presume he will go up quite a lot.”
