Princess Loulou gained a deserved first success at stakes level for Roger Varian when the easy winner of the Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes at Doncaster in November 2015.
Prior to that performance, Princess Loulou had gained a valuable Group 1 bracket when second to Ribbons in the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville. She was also second in the Listed Conqueror Stakes and third in the Group 3 Lanwades Stud Stakes.
The daughter of Pivotal was bred by David Brown out of the placed Highest Honor mare Aiming, a half-sister to Listed-winning sprinter Watching from the famous Pelting family. She was purchased for 310,000gns by Tony Nerses out of the Furnace Mill Stud draft at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale.
Princess Loulou’s first foal, three-year-old Louganini, went into many notebooks last autumn when making a winning debut at Newmarket for Roger Charlton. She also has a two-year-old colt by Invincible Spirit, a yearling filly by Frankel and is in foal to Decorated Knight.
