The following year, he ran up a sequence of Stakes successes starting with a victory in the Listed King Charles II Stakes at Newmarket.
He beat Group 1 performers such as U S Ranger and Strategic Prince when the easy winner of the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot next time out and went on to defeat older horses in a strong renewal of the Gr.2 Betfair Cup at Goodwood. He returned as a four-year-old to run third in the Gr.1 Lockinge Stakes.
