Sayif colts pleasing ahead of GoffsUK Breeze-up Sale
A pair of colts from the first crop of Sayif will be on show at next week’s GoffsUK Breeze-up Sale in Doncaster.
Con Marnane’s Bansha House Stables sends through a colt out of Elvira Delight (42), who was bred by Blue Diamond Stud and sold as a yearling at last year’s DBS Premier Sale, while Willie Browne’s Mocklershill is the vendor of a colt out of Ellway Queen (41).
Marnane is particularly pleased with his colt, who is the second foal out of a winning Desert Style half-sister to top speedster Equiano.
“He’s an absolute cracker,” says Marnane. “A lovely quality colt and a great mover.
“He’s grown a lot since I bought him last August – he would now stand about 16 hands. He’s got a beautiful temperament. We like him a lot and he goes really well.”
The Mocklershill colt was bred by Cothi Bloodstock and is a half-brother to four winners, including the Listed-placed Ghetto. His dam Ellway Queen is a winning Bahri relation to Richmond Stakes winner Castle Green.
All lots will breeze on Doncaster racecourse next Tuesday and sell the following day.
