Soon’s Dubawi filly lights up Tattersalls at 1,300,000gns
The stud enjoyed a tremendous result at Tattersalls on Wednesday when selling a homebred Dubawi filly through New England Stud for 1,300,000gns to Alastair Donald of SackvilleDonald.
The filly is a sister to our talented two-year-old Jousi and the third foal out of Listed winner Soon, who joined the farm when purchased through Tony Nerses for 800,000gns in 2013. In turn, Soon is a daughter of Classic Park, who became Aidan O’Brien’s first Classic winner when successful in the 1997 Irish 1,000 Guineas, and a half-sister to Derby runner-up Walk In The Park.
“While we want to race good horses, we also want to sell good horses,” said Nerses. “We’ve had success before in the sale ring – it is important to sell well. Once we have committed to selling we will do so. Blue Diamond Stud has only been in existence for five years but we’ve have achieved plenty.”
Soon has a Lope De Vega has a filly foal and is back in foal to Fastnet Rock.
