Three BDS-bred winners for the week as Baadi scores at Windsor
The progressive Baadi made it two out of two for Charlie Fellowes on Monday with a cosy success in the concluding handicap at Windsor.
Ridden prominently by Andrea Atzeni, Baadi challenged two furlongs out and stayed on gamely to repel Zambeasy.
In the process, he became the third BDS-bred winner of the week following Decorated Knight, who carried our colours to victory in the Festival Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday, and Corinthian, the pleasing winner of his debut at Haydock on Friday.
Baadi is one of two winners out of Dashing, a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Champion Alexander Goldrun and the Classic-placed Medecis purchased by Tony Nerses at the 2009 Tattersalls December Sale.
Dashing has a two-year-old colt by Lope De Vega named Oden with Roger Varian and a yearling filly by Iffraaj. She foaled a Mastercraftsman colt last month and now visits Zoffany.
