Victory for homebred Elhaam at Lingfield
Elhaam became the latest winning homebred for Blue Diamond Stud when successful over 6f at Lingfield. The daughter of Shamardal denied the odds on favourite to win comfortably by 1 3/4 lengths for George Margarson.
“It was a great bit of placing by George (Margarson) and she´s done it very straightforward, picking up all the way to the line,” winning rider Martin Lane told the Racing Post.
Elhaam is a half-sister to high-class sprinter Justineo and out of Listed winner Loulwa, a Montjeu half-sister to Mill Reef Stakes winner Galeota.
Loulwa was a 370,000gns yearling purchase by Tony Nerses.
